According to Daily Post , he was abducted in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital. Canon Otto’s close friend Raphael Koko revealed the news to the press. He said: Otto has been kidnapped. He was in Lagos for an event last week and now I’m getting calls from mutual friends that he was kidnapped in Port Harcourt over the weekend. We still don’t have all the details yet. Five Kenyan teenage girls who invented “I-cut”, an app to end Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) will visit  Google  Headquarters in  California, U.S.A. The app connects girls at risk of FGM with rescue centres and gives legal and medical help to those who have been cut. According to Vanguard , organisers say the five teenagers, aged 15 to 17, are the only Africans selected to take part in this year’s international Technovation competition, where girls develop mobile apps to end problems in their communities. A teenage boy who manufactures guns in a Plateau State community has been nabbed by law enforcement officers. Eric Labari, a 19-year-old gun manufacturer, has been arrested by Operation Safe Haven military task force in charge of security in Plateau and Southern Kaduna, NAN reports. The Commander of the task force, Maj. Gen. Nicholas Rojas, made the disclosure when he briefed newsmen in Jos on Wednesday. According to  Vanguard , Kanu said he rejected the offer, adding that he also wanted Benue and Rivers states. He also claimed to have been offered an oil bloc and a mansion in Dubai, gifts offered to tempt him to abandon the cause of a sovereign Biafra. He said he rejected them both. The IPOB leader said he insisted on the actualization of Biafra, that those things were “Greek gifts.” He said: “They gave me Biafra in Prison with only the five Igbo states; I said no, I want Benue and Rivers. D rinking more coffee could extend people’s life span, as they would have a lower risk of death, especially for heart diseases, cancer and diabetes among others, a new study shows. After crunching the numbers from 28 studies and over 1 million participants, Harvard researchers found that people who drank just one cup of coffee a day were 8 percent less likely to develop  diabetes  than those who never had the beverage. What’s the link? Coffee is high in a polyphenol called chlorogenic acid, which has been shown to reduce blood sugar concentrations and their absorption in the intestines. The researchers believe this may explain some of the diabetes-protective effects they found It also shows that people who drank three or more cups per day will have a lower risk of all-cause death, such as respiratory disease, kidney and liver disease as well as stroke, than those who did not drink coffee.
